I launched my first profitable web endeavor at the age of 16, registered a business at 19, and graduated from the Enterprise Systems Engineering department at UIUC a semester early to focus on web app development full-time. As a result, I have no problem wearing many different hats in a small team.
On any given day, you can find me hacking away in Ruby-on-Rails, HTML, CSS, and jQuery on top of AWS and MySQL. I’ve launched 6+ web projects in 2011 alone - utilizing SMS, social and eCommerce platforms - all coded and designed from scratch by yours truly. Imagine what I could accomplish as part of a team!
I’ve been dying for a reason to use airbnb for months. Opportunity arose in the form of a wedding this summer, and I jumped at the chance to book with airbnb. This week, my girlfriend and I will be treating ourselves to a much needed vacation in a beautiful New Hampshire cabin - thanks airbnb!
In the past year, I’ve racked up over 10,000 miles exploring the US – from Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota to the swamps of Louisiana (twice) to the vast forests of Maine, and countless smaller trips around the Midwest. Yeah, I guess you could say I’m passionate about traveling!
I tackle new problems every single day, but have yet to find one that I couldn’t work through. Pushing the boundaries and exploring new territory is what keeps me going, and is exactly why I love web development – it never gets old!
